Bruce G. Peshoff, JD, Principal

Concentrating on the integration of land use planning, law and economics, Bruce Peshoff understands the relationship between environmental and fiscal sustainability and development needs.  With 20 years of experience representing public and private clients, his approach blends consensus-building with a strong legal and technical foundation, ensuring that plans, strategies and ordinances reflect local values and are implementable and defensible.

Extensive data review, mapping and use of alternative scenarios and suitability analysis to support environmental and economic goals form the core of Bruce’s planning approach.  It is Bruce’s objective to ensure that clients have the information, tools and support they need to implement strategies following adoption of plans and regulations.

Bruce Peshoff has extensive practical planning and land use consulting experiences. Prior to establishing Planning Works, he was a founding Principal of a land use consulting firm absorbed into Planning Works; a project manager for the Freilich, Leitner & Carlisle Planning Group; and a principal planner/project manager for a regional (Great Lakes) planning consulting firm.  Mr. Peshoff’s public sector planning experience includes working in the Transportation and Current Planning divisions of a joint city/county planning department; as the chief environmental planner/investigator for a municipal law department and as the principal neighborhood planner for a NeighborWorks non-profit housing and economic development corporation.
